The Chhattisgarh police have filed a case against the  Yoga guru Ram Dev Baba for allegedly spreading false information on drugs that are used in the treatment of Covid 19. Raipur Police Superintendent Ajay Yadav said in a press release. Yadav said a First Information Report (FIR) has been lodged in this regard on the complaint of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) Hospital Board (Chhattisgarh) chairman Rakesh Gupta, IMA’s Raipur president Vikas Agrawal, and other doctors. He added it was lodged on Wednesday night under Indian Penal Code’s Sections 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant), 269 (negligent act likely to spread infection of disease dangerous to life), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) and under the Disaster Management Act.
