The DRDO and the Indian Navy collaborated to conduct the maiden project of “SAHAYAK NG” – India’s first indigenously designed and developed air-droppable container. It is aided by GPS, can carry a payload of up to 50 kg and can be dropped from a heavy aircraft. Defence Research and Development and a private company “Avantal” were involved in this design. It reduces the work of the Navy to assist the armed forces during crucial times. It is an advanced version of SAHAYAK MK I air-droppable container.
