Farmer unions met and conducted a meeting to discuss the next course of the plan. The meeting is being held at Singhu border two days after the government and the farm unions arrived at a consensus over the rise in power tariff and penalties for stubble burning to resolve the protesting farmers’ concerns. Three union ministers and a 41-member representative group of thousands of farmers protesting on Delhi borders met on Wednesday to break the deadlock over the Centre’s farm laws. The sixth round of talks between the two sides was held after a considerable gap. The fifth round of talks was held on December 5.
