In elections of United Nation’s Commission on Status of Women Economic (UNCSW), a body of the Economic and social council (ECOSOC). Two members should be elected from the Asia Pacific states, India secured 38 ballots out of 54 and Afghanistan secured 39 ballots. China secured only 27 ballots, China could not cross half the votes. India will be a member of the United Nation’s Commission on Status of Women for four years, 2021 to 2025. Overwhelmed with this victory, Indian ambassador TS Tirumurthy he thanked member states for their support.
