In a couple of days, Congress has lost two eminent leaders and both of them are close to the Gandhis. Rahul Gandhi was in Assam and paid his tribute to the veteran leader Tarun Gogoi at Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra in Guwahati. Tarun Gogoi the longest-serving Chief Minister of Assam breathed his last at Guwahati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) on November 23 evening after a prolonged battle with illness. “We have lost another leader this morning Ahmed ji another pillar of the Congress party. So, it is a tragic day for the Congress party,” Rahul Gandhi said. Rahul Gandhi said that it was a personal loss to him and he also said that he had been treated like a son by Tarun Gogoi.
