Is it easy to live with values? No, it’s not easy. In life at some point in time people may compromise. But there is one man who never compromised in moral values, and he is the eleventh President of India. Sri APJ Abdul Kalam. Did we see congress party senior leader Sashi Tharoor and BJP senior leader coming to one conclusion or decision? Yes, they have come to one decision together, to elect the 11th president.
Why is he so special?
The values he followed made him a great man. He used to do Namaz and used to read Bhagavad Geetha as well. He used a musical instrument, Rudhra Veena. He made the missiles to protect the borders. We have many lessons to learn from his life. He synchronized both religions. He followed the local culture of south India. He liked vaidyas, the ancient philosophy of Indians, and the greatness, which is rejected by so-called pseudo-intellectuals.
What was a great lesson?
How a leader should be? We can learn it from his life. When failure comes he used to take the blame but, success, he used to give the credit to the team. Once, due to a busy schedule a subordinate of his, could not attend the birthday party of his son. When he returned home, his son smilingly welcomed him and said thanks to his father! After some time when he inquired, he came to know that his superior, Sri Abdul Kalam came to his colleague’s home and gifted it to his son. Not only this, he made us learn many lessons.
His failure a boon to India:
He failed to get a seat to become a pilot. In the selection process, they selected only eight members for the fighter pilot, and he got a ninth position there. Then he had to go with the ISRO.
If we want to see our nation as a man, simple, just see him. He is Indian and its cultural diversity. He failed at first, for Agni missile and all the people started laughing at ISRO and the western world started making cartoons. Even in India, Amul advertisements also mocked the experiment. But, he did not feel bad and he too laughed by looking at the advertisement for their creativity. In the advertisement, the Amul company asked ISRO to use butter, rather than the fuel they use to run the missile. In the next Agni missile testing, the result was fruitful. Still, Agni missile has been serving the Indian Army. It’s a very small part of his victory.
He was offered many jobs from foreign, but he had never left us and fell after pleasures of money!!
His demise is an example!!
One man should be passionate to do what he loves and Sri Kalam, at the very last moment also, in 2015 in Assam, he passed away, in the process of teaching children. In India, we have people like APJ Abdul Kalam, on the other hand, we have Afzal Guru kind of people. Now it is the people’s choice, whose way should be chosen and whose way should be completely abandoned.
