Any left-liberal agitations we hear the slogan Azadi. Why is this Azadi slogan? and how the educational institution to the people agitation, this slogan penetrated many, including the anarchist movements like Maoist movements. We even hear the same slogan in the film “Tandav”!
Azadi, which is also a slogan of a few people, who softly support separatism and blame the Indian culture as “Brahmanical system” separates Indian society intellectually thorough education. The biggest unfortunate is, it identifies the flaws in the culture of India and never recognizes the greatness of India. This Azadi slogan is owned by the Left-Liberal intellectuals.
A few people say that the Azadi slogan is right and nothing is wrong by calling Indian society a Brahminical system and everyone should be liberated from Brahmanical caste system. Was that a part of the Hindu religion? Actually, the caste system is different from Varna. Indian epics like Manu Smrithi advocated the Varna system. And many people say that this is nothing but the caste system in India which discriminate a few people based on their birth.
Even Ambedkar also burnt the Manu smriti. So many people say that the Manu Smrithi is anti-Dalit. Is that true? Actually not!
Dr BR Ambedkar read the English version of Manu Smrithi which was written and wrongly understood by Max Muller. Dr Ambedkar followed it. Not only he but also many scholars read Max Muller’s translations and followed his translations at the time of British rule.
What Max Muller misinterpreted:
His biggest misinterpretation was looking at Caste and Varna as the same. The same reference was taken by Ambedkar and burnt the Manusmrithi. There was a caste system in the society but the basis is not the direct varna system. The varna system as per the Manu Smrithi is based on virtue, not by the birth. The same was proposed by Lord Sri Krishna in his Baghawadhgeetha, “Janmanā jāyate śūdraḥ saṁskārad behaved dvijaḥ”
One of the social evils due to a few people’s selfishness is the caste system. This system was tried to take out by Ramanjuacharya kind of great spiritual leaders but could not do that. However, this is not at all mentioned in the Manusmirthi or any Indian scriptures. It is being practised in Hindu society but not as per scriptures in Indic religions.
So If any intellectual or Left and Liberal says “Azadi from Brahmanical society” that person should be informed that there is no Brahminical, nothing, Indian varna system was as per the work our ancestors had taken, which might have misinterpreted by a few people.
The word “Brahminical” might be a word to divide society, which was proposed by Egoist English historians before India’s freedom. The British rulers took these advantages and the Maoists also did the same to divide Indian society for their imperialistic ruling. To break India, the easiest way is to attack and harm the most respected Indian Culture and Heritage. If it is jabbed for several times, the Indian society could easily be separated and ruled. This is the idea of Azadi!!
